The order I placed on June 3 had moved from delivery on July 27, to July 29 and now to August 5-7. What's really strange is that order I placed on June 29 says it is expected to ship on July 31. This is ridiculous!:crooked:

I'm guessing it's because I go to a state university, the University of Virginia (#2 public in the country ), hence a cheaper price.
this school is turning out to be a bargain in more ways than one :D .

i do too (WSU) but its cheaper to get it through Hp's higher education deal at the online store than the link you provide. Your Virgina College probably has a contract with hp. thats the first time i seen the site you gave though :D i usally go through hp.com's goverment education link

Gee, by the time dell finally releases the upgrade kit to us, we will all be wanting ppc2004.

I have to agree. I am happy with 2002. But when the fix is out, and the Axim works great with 2003, I'm gettin 2003.

I have the ppc2002 versian too(and glad of it). I ordered the upgrade awhile ago but to wait till september for it?!?! Most likely dell is going to start shipping ppc2002 again as reported on other threads untill the problem gets fixed. I hope they don't do this with magneto

Although we had anticipated being able to ship your order sooner, we are experiencing an unexpected delay and we will not be able to ship you your order until 7/31/2003. You have chosen 3-5 business day shipping (ie. not weekends and holidays); therefore your expected delivery date is August 5 - August 7. We apologize for the delay. We will continue working hard to get your order to you.

uh oh. i'm seeing $356 as the price now, too. they must have just adjusted it upward....i know i saw it there for $294 just this evening....
off to the main higher ed site...
EDIT: ...just went to the higher ed site....clicking on the students link just took me back to the page i recommended in my earlier post. wandering around in hp's site didn't turn up any $294 hp2210, either--my school's contract doesn't list a hp2210 at all, and neither does the national education price list.
are you really able to find it for $294? can you post a link?
has hp raised the education price all of a sudden? I never heard of a $356 price for the 2210 before.

Now is this just the Upgrade CD or also newly shipping Axims? My order status page still says July 29th as the ship date for my Axim ordered on July 16th.

Here's a thought. Maybe Dell is really going to deliver sooner than later. Maybe they're trying to get us all upset and then deliver early. OK, late but earlier than anticipated at this point. This way they look like the hero. Of course this is as about as likely as Angelina Jolie knocking on my front door right now but dare to dream... :crooked:
