I no emotional attachment...... just trying to be as vocal as those with problems....

just sick of all the boo-hoos from people that have bought other PDAs....... If you don't like the Ax... buy something else, tell us about it and let it go.

I am very aware that MY Axim is fine...... that is my point.. all the Axim's we bought are fine. had one problem, Dell took care of it immediatly (ie.. within hours we had a new one)

Hey, I haven't bad mouthed the Ax one bit, it is a good PDA. I don't want to get into an argument over my decision to return it. I'm dissatisfied with the product, I'm certainly not suggesting everyone else should be too.

I was waiting for PPC 2003 for a number of reasons, one is that Explorer now supports CSS (to a limit). I wanted an Ax based on the good reviews and the fact that I had set two up for people I work for and had no problems with them during that time I spent using them. My experience of them was a good one hence my purchase.

This is a good forum too, kind people (generally) and lots of people visit it. Will I be frowned upon for visiting when I don't have an Ax?

Wow!

Nice house!

But don't you think that you're carring your
affection for your Ax a little too far?

Gulp!

I love my Ax, but you have to admit
compared to a Palm it's buggy and crash
prone. Active Sync must have been programed
by a demented Warlock on meth.

I've only had my Ax 6 months
and I've had to deleted my partnership 10 times.
(Due to ActiveSync not reconizing my Ax, WTF?)

I've had to hard reset twice and my backup's
would only restore to 96% and then hangup.
It didn't matter if I restored from SD card, CF card
or my Desktop.

I can see why people are jumping ship.

The dang thing is so useful and you get alot
of features for the money, but it takes a lot
of maintence and patience. I'll probably replace
my stolen Ax with another, but even you
have to see that an IPAQ looks real attractive
now.

At any rate, Peace and good luck to all.

I see your point with your troubles, I would have to rethink my little silver buddy, but the fact for me is that I have had almost zero troubles......... either I am really lucky or the "dance of joy and good luck" I did when it arrived worked ;)

I never said, or ment, that people without an Axim would be frowned upon...... all I mean is I would hate to see this site lose it focus.... the AXIM... that is all I ment. After hearing some of your horror stories I cannot blame you for wanting to go another ave.

with all that said, I think the HPaqs are ugly and way too fragile for me to use. (they maybe very tough, but not from my limited usage)

oh, LOVE THE HOUSE..... I will have to convert my shed out back (I do not have that kinda land to spare) :)

all I know about the Palm OS is that my wife "says" she is happy with it, but I hear it cursed every so often.
