Notification Event Database But in WM2003

I am not sure if any iPAQ users are aware of this or not. This has became an issue for me when I got my 2215 and after applying this fix, my issues went away.

Here is the bug:

Quote:
The Pocket PC 2003 OS appears to have a bug that can slow down the performance of a Pocket PC device, and can potentially cause ActiveSync delays. It has been identified that after every soft-reset of your device, a few extra "Notification Events" are added to the Notification Event Database on your system (This database holds system notifications such as alarms, timed events, etc.). After several soft-resets, a device can have several hundreds of extra notification events that can reduce the performance of a device.

This is excellent, highly recommended. I have it and my ppc runs faster and it gets out all of the junk, kind of like the recycle bin!

Right now my PPC is running smooth as butter with this fix installed. No slowdowns, especially with activesync.

I had checked that option and found that it didn't do what it advertised to do. I took a look at the database and found those dupe records even though I had the option activated on Pocket Plus.

I applied the small .exe in the startup and the problem was taken care of.

I've found that scarybear's applications don't work on my iPAQ 3970, upgraded to WM2003. Have contacted them to see if they know how to fix it - will keep you updated.

Scarybear have now got a beta release that works a treat on my 3970. I'm sure it'll be released shortly, if it already hasn't.

Thanks for posting the Link Ted, and just to say sorry to Whitelyt, yes you did include a link at the start, I just didn't see it. What's the saying Look Before You Leap, I must remember this for the future.
