Have I got PPC2003 pre-installed on my Axim?
I've just taken delivery of my sparkling new Axim today, (I'm in love with it already), can anyone tell me if I have Pocket PC 2003 already installed on it. The version number is:-

4.20.1081 (Build 13100)

Yup, that is Windows Mobile 2003 alright!

Now look at the System Info and see what your "ROM Version" is. If it is A05 (which it probably is), then you already have the "fixed" version of WM2003, so you're set to go! :D

How do you check the Rom version. It's not in "about."

How do I go about getting my install "fixed" cos my ppc2003 is slow and keeps crashing. Thanks

dell released a patch yesterday and then removed it shortly after cuz people on this forum were hacking it to make it a PPC2002 to WM2003 update.

I guess you will just have to wait until dell releases it again or find a buddy who managed to download the A05 update off dell's

According to a couple of sources on this site that update should be out by Monday, August 4. So the wait shouldn't be too long.
