Hey all I have a question for you. I want to upgrade my PPC2002 to WM2003 so i can hopefuly not lag so much when playing movies. I have a "free" (catch my drift?)version of WM 2003 and i was wondering before i install it, that if there is a large risk in doing so. I know there will always be a risk when using "free" stuff like this but ill take it, just not a big one. With what i downloaded i got a nbo file and a "host 11" application. Here's what the directions say maybe you can figure somethng out about it:
"Download host11.exe and firmware file on desktop.
Rename the firmware file to nk.nb0
Disable USB in ActiveSync.
Put iPAq in flash mode: for H38xx, press button2+button4+power+reset until you get "Remote USB Update" message
displayed on the screen
Connect the iPAq to desktop via USB cradle
Start host11.exe"
And thats it... I know "free" software isnt very nice but for companies like microsoft i just dont care, smaller game developers i pay for to help out the guys who made it. But anyway i dont feel like making this a thread arguing about "free" software so keep to the question at hand! Thanks =P =)
