DOES ANYONE HAVE THE PHAROS CF GPS? IF SO, DO YOU HAVE SOME SORT OF 2.5MM PLUG THAT GOES TO AN EXTERNAL SPEAKER SO YOU CAN ACTUALLY HEAR THE VOICE PROMPTS? I DON'T KNOW WHAT PHARO WAS THINKING WHEN THEY CREATED THEIR CF GPS UNIT. IT BLOCKS HALF OF THE AUDIO JACK. PLEASE HELP ME. I REALLY DONT WANT TO SPEND MORE MONEY ON GPS ANYMORE. LET'S SEE.... $200 FOR THE PHAROS GPS & THE DISGRACEFUL OSTIA NAVIGATION SOFTWARE...$20 FOR THE PHAROS MOBILEPAK....$99 FOR MAPOPOLIS SOFTWARE. THE GPS UNIT WORKS GREAT, QUICK FIXES & VERY RARE CUTOOFS. BUT THE AUDIO IS A BIG ISSUE FOR ME.

Tip: Turning off all CAPS will make your posts more readable.
As far as your Pharos GPS, I haven't used it. It is unfortunate if it covers the audio jack. You might try using some kind of CF adaptor between the Pharos and the Axim to get enough space to plug in your audio plug. Otherwise, I don't see any solution.

Pookster- I too have the same problem as you. I recently purchased the PocketMap Navigator GPS. When I went to connect to an external speaker, there was the unfortunate realization that the speaker jack was partially blocked by the GPS CF Unit.
Were you ever able to resolve the dilema. If so, what did you do? Any help is greatly appreciated. Howard

PS: I did grind down part of the housing on a 90 degree plug and got it to just squeeze into the speaker jack. It was pressing so hard against the GPS unit though, that I am afraid it is too risky to continue connecting / disconnecting repeatidly without damaging the GPS CF.
