Upgrade

I have an Axim x5 (300). Can I safely upgrade to ppc 2003 and have the same or better performance?
How can I find out if I, in fact, have PPC 2002. I bought the device last year around November.
Thnk you

I would say you have do have ppc 2002 and then that would be illegal to use the patch to upgrade to 2003.

To make sure go to Start -> Settings -> System Information
If the ROM Version is A04 you have 2003 if it is A03 you have 2002. Hope this helps.

if you got it around november you have PPC2002, you dont need to check :D

You can safely upgrade to WM2003 and have better performance, call dell and tell them you are interested in buying the Windows Mobile 2003 upgrade kit for the axim.

If you got it in november last year you have a pxa250 and most likely won't get a performance increase but you should be able to use the new os without any problems. I have got a 250 and i'm gonna upgrade asap. I want the viruscan software the most.
