I have just got an email from Dell informing me my order was shipped on the 1/08/03! I hope this is the debugged version of Windows Mobile 2003 Upgrade. I will post when the carrier confirm the delivery date.

considering that the A05 rom is dated 7/17 and dell has no interest to have yet another fiasco it's reasonable to assume that the CD will contain the A05 rom. My CD has also shipped on August 1st.

He is in a European country. The dates are posted like that, day first, then month, then year. That's probably why it looked a little strange to you. The only reason I am aware of the diffrerence is that I lived in Europe for 2 & 1/2 years while in the military. Hope that helps..... "D

As of today, the WM2003 update CDs are not available in Canada for "2 to 3 weeks", but the sales clerk took my email for a list he's keeping and says he'll email me as soon as it's available.

Well after a few phone calls my upgrade finally arrived on Monday due to carrier having problems with their computers.

Dell Charged me for carriage! If you check your invoice its says "product unit price £27 +vat carriage £0" hence people being over charged. I emailed Dell and they will refund the £8 +vat as the product price in the UK should be £19+vat and £0 for delivery

My update went well and now is A05 rom, speed seems fine. Only thing I have noticed is the sound sometimes stops working and you have to soft reset to get it back. Not sure if this a program that causes it or a bug in the OS.

Sharp Vault 1.2 Doesnt run correctly screen corrupts and the data restore worked but the edit function didnt show any data. Spoke to Sharp Vault they are getting a Dell A05 Axim and will fix asap.
I could not get Pocket Chat to run either for some odd reason it keeps running PIE when u click on the exe?
All other games and programs I have run worked fine. Other thing I have noticed is some installs dont add the link to the Start list some time you get two in the programs list instead? Guess all this will be fix by program updates as I dont think its an OS problem?

If you're doing a lot of soft resets, make sure you install the hotfix.exe or scarybear otherwise you'll end up w/ lots of DB_notify files. Then, eventually, the Ax or any other PPC running WM2k3 will slow considerably and eventually freeze right up.
