While preparing for an upgrade to pocketpc 2003 (teletype gps) a vendor for my company informed me that my pcmcia card would not function after the upgrade to 2003....The soft ware is compatible but "In PocketPC 2003 they lowered the output voltage to the card slot because the great majority of cards being used today use less power, and this would save battery. So if you would like, I can upgrade your software, just be advised that the GPS unit (pcmcia card)will stop functioning with the update of PocketPC (2003)."

Has any one heard of card problems after an upgrade....seems the external battery in the expansion pack would supply the power...card works now in pocketpc 2002 on ipaq 3850...
