Corrected Registry, still won't display ipaqhq correctly

I've followed the fix in this thread but ipaqhq.com still won't display the mobile skin.

Perversely, davesipaq.com displays it's mobile skin just fine, before and after the registry fix.

When I went to the registry key I found a string name of 240x320 with no value (blank). I edited this value to be PPC; 240x320 and did a soft reset, but still the mobile skin doesn't show.

So now the registry setting is:

name: 240x320
value: PPC; 240x320

I had the virtual display app installed for a while but removed it prior to finding this forum.

I've also verified the other key settings are correct. Soft-reset several times. Deleted the cache. Still giving me the non-mobile view.

any help is appreciated as the site is not very useful on my iPaq w/o the mobile version.

Hmmm....

Checking my PPC's registry the key is \HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\In ternet Settings\User Agent\Post Platform. The value is "PPC; 240x320". I have been on the the mobile site for a good portion of the day and it has been fine for me.

Has it ever worked ok for you?

Using Resco Registry Editor, I browse to that same key, and when I select ..\Post Platform I get in the lower window a string name value pair of

240x320 PPC; 240x320

If I select that pair, the next screen displayed is titled "String Value" with a Name of "240x320" (greyed out, can't modify) and a String of "PPC; 240x320". No quotes of course.

Unfortunately, I didn't access this site prior to using the app that screwed up these settings so it never has worked for me.

What other sites could I try that use the same method of skin identification?

thanks,
mikehd

Now with tasty screen captures!

Ok, thanks to the nifty capture function in iTask, here are the screen shots of my registry settings. Please take a look and see if I've got something amiss, please.

User Agent settings, correct?

Post Platform settings, correct?

String Value settings, correct?

ipaqhq.com home page, not correct.

The NAME should be PPC;240X320 .

There is NO assigned value

(P.S. Everything after the semicolon is a comment and not really necessary, only the PPC is required)
