Bought my Axim in May !

Hi,

Ok, here's my problem:

I bought my Axim through Dell Canada web site last May. I call them when I heard that Microsoft was releasing MM2003, and they said that I would be eligible to get a free upgrade. But so far, many problems occured with Dell and MM2003.

Question: Am I gonna get the upgrade automatically ? Do I have to do something to get it ?

And of course, is it a good idea to upgrade to MM2003 ? I use PPC2002 and have no problem yet. Many softwares are compatible wit PPC02, but they don't say a word about MM2003!

I've been using Palm for the last 3 years, and couldn't upgrade. But now...

Any comments there ???

I'd get them to send out the CD and then you have a licence to the software. If you choose to install it or not is up to you. But the A05 patch seems to be good.

Yes.. I am wondering the same thing. Bought mine May 24 and I'm in the US. I havn't heard anything from Dell.

Last time I spoke to a Dell CSR (May 30) about getting the upgrade, they said that I would get a coupon in the box for a free upgrade. Sheesh.. what lying little #$@#!.

So, here I am... wondering.....

I guess they'll look after their non paying customers last. I wouldn't expect to hear anything until they've sorted out the entire upgrade / patch mess.

You must have had a Handspring. Most of the Palms had flash ROM, same as the Axim..albeit not 48MB. :)

Yep if you don't call them they won't call you and ask you if you want the free upgrade.
