could someone bring me up to date on a few questions?

Im sorry ive been really busy with my new job and i havnt had time to come here and keep up with the news.

But now i see people posting that htey finally have working and speedy wm2003, but i cant make out a few things. Well i probably could if i read for like 30 mins but its 2:18 and ive got to pick up someone at the airport at 6 so i have to go to bed.

So anyway, if anyone would be so kind as to answer a few q's:

1) I purchased my axim within 30 days of the release of wm2003, but now its been more than 30 days. That doesnt matter does it?

2) assuming i can get the free upgrade, is there anyway to do it online yet or do i have to call again?

3) Im just assuming that its not safe or legal to do whatever i heard someone did to get that patch they found on the ftp server to work as an upgrade from 2002 right?

and if i do need to call to get it, can you please tell me what info. i will need to have on hand, any specfici unit numbers or anything so that i dont have much trouble?

edit: oh and its no longer 2:18 am, as my net went down when i tried to post this and its been going on and off for the past 2 weeks. i have very limited access to viewing threads and doing anything, my comp is majorly screwed up.

I would call Dell to make sure. Have the Express Service Code or Service Tag or both ready. They might even be able to pull your order up just by your name.

I think you should have a free upgrade. But it is better to make sure.

Nope it don't matter. Within 30 days of the release date. I just talked to them today about it again and they are sending me my cd still it has been delayed though. until 9/19!!!! whats up with that!!!
You will have to call them. The rom upgrade is no longer on the server. You would have had to crack it anyway to get the free upgrade.
just have your express service code, customer no. and youll be good to go.
They will have to ship a cd to you.

well i cant find anything online (well i cant even find the place to purchase it 0.o), accept their ftp in my customer support section. i think i found the rom updates in there but i dont really know.

anyone know which one R59395 or R61325 are? oh well i bet anyone, entitled to it or not, could get it on there if that was anything i needed so i guess its nothing. Ill call.

edit: yup, neither of those look like anything, some kind of cf driver thing.

......is there ANY way i can get a hold of it before then 0.o i assumed if i called now id get it like a week from now or something, not 6 weeks. i need it before i go to college in 2 and ah alf weeks.

oh well, its free, i guess it cant hurt to put it on order.
