What type of Internet security software do you use?
What does that do?
Do you recommend it?

I am looking for a way to secure myself from hackers and the likes. Your input will be appreciated.

Dell X30 High

Used many pdas such as Palm M100, Palm M130, Ipaq 3000 series, View Sonic V36, Axim X5 Advanced, Toshiba e805 and now I am back to Axim X30. What will I use next?....probably will stay with the X30 for a long time. The thing is great.

Well for my desktop I have Sophos Anti Virus software. I also run the excellent Zone Alarm firewall and once or twice a week I run Spyware Search & Destroy AND Ad-aware to catch any malware. Apart from Sophos these are all freeware.

If you're looking for a freeware anti virus product I hear good things about AVG. Google it and you'll find it.

As for my Ipaq - zip, zero nada, nil, not a sausage. I don't surf on it - not because I don't want to but because my work doesn't have a wireless network and neither do I at home.

And by the way - based on the amount of time I seem to spend tweaking my Ipaq and trying different software and coming to this site every single day I think your sig could be right............

It's not a fault - it's a feature of the software.....
