Germany: WM 2003 CD has arrived

The CD's arrived today. The ROM version seems to be A01. (Strange feeling, upgrading from A02 to A01!)

The files containing the new ROM are titled

P25_N_H/L_07190300GE_2003.IMG

so I hope that the patch is in it.
I had no problems upgrading, and my Axim is much faster than with PPC2002.

After the upgrade there are still some 21MB's in the integrated storage left (I prefer to install my software there). I was afraid it would be less.

The second CD contains ActiveSync, Outlook and a couple of preview versions of software.

Thank you, Dell! If they now manage to replace my damaged CF slot cover ... .

Printed on my order confirmation there is July 26th. But that doesn't mean anything.
Before the confirmation arrived, a guy from Dell called me saying that the CD will arrive in the second half of August.

I have a German Axim originally equipped with PPC 2003. My ROM version is A00 so you should have the one with the patch in it.

My Axim is so slow you just can't believe it. I spoke to tech support today and the guy told me the patch may be sent to me on CD in another two weeks time.

Care to share your CD? I live about 50 km from Ulm ;)

BTW, there have been reports on several German boards that the update breaks TomTom Navigator 2.

I am now inclined to return my Axim and get an Ipaq instead. I am definitely fed up with Dell, their technical support (what support?) and their information policy.

I have already cancelled the order for a 2nd Axim for my company because they keep shifting the delivery date.

Actually I think this wouldn't be illegal at all.
If he has a valid WM2003 license, then I fail to see anything illegal in it.
After all, you license the OS, not an "A00" or "A01".

i have a axim with pocket pc 2003 (with the preformance bug). but i can get the fix anywhere. i ve i can get the german a01 rom i will update my axim and i also don t think that s illegal. i already have a PPC 2003 Licence. I m also looking for the romupdate. i don t need all the rest (outlook, etc.)
