JOnkan, welcome to iPaqHQ!

Normally that message means that you are running too many apps that is causing you to have low program memory or your program memory is set too low. If the Bluetooth radio is not on when you try to launch the BT Manager it will turn the radio on. For this to happen the BT driver must be loaded. It won't load if you don't have enough program memory.

Go to Start -> Settings -> System -> Memory and see if you have enough Program Memory. Also try doing a soft reset and then launch the BT Manager before running anything else.

Beta!!! Where in the world did you get that? If you're upgrading did you go through HP to get the actual upgrade because it should not be beta?

I would recommend getting the upgrade CD from HP. You can get one from this link.

Interesting question. I would imagine the the ROM versions should be different. The beta should have an older ROM revision. So I think it should work based on that. Of course since I never seen it work I cannot be 100% sure on that one.

I wouldn't worry about the BT drivers just yet. I would be more concerned with getting a production copy of WM2003 on your device. Beta is just that; beta. Beta copies can be buggy. First get a good production copy of WM2003 on your device. I just scanned HP's site for WM2003 BT drivers for your device and there is none posted. So I believe you should be fine once you get a working copy of WM2003 on your device.

As an additional note, HP does not have any posted BT drivers for PPC2002 as well. HP releases driver updates as SoftPaqs. You download it, run it and it will self install to your device. This is not available for any Windows version on their site. So as far as getting BT drivers for your device you struck out their. As I have mentioned your best bet is to get a good copy of WM2003 on your device.

I just upgraded a H3870 to ppc2003 and have the same problem. This is a legal version from HP. Bluetooth worked fine before the upgrade, but now get the error message aboult lack of memory for drivers. Nothing is running when I get the message. I'm thinking of switching bac to ppc2002. Anyone have any other idea's?

Ditto here. AFAIK, this is an unresolved issue that will probably never be fixed up by HP. It seems to be a problem with the BT drivers in the WM2003 ROM. As you know, everything worked fine with PPC2002.

Unless something comes up in the very near future, I'm seriously considering going back to PPC2002 to get BT back.

After numerous calls to HP, I was informed that HP may have sent me a defective CD. I finally received a new disk and proceeded to re-install ppc2003. Guess what!!! Blue tooth DOES NOT WORK! Same error as before, lack of memory even though nothing is running but the initial startup.

I have since switched back to ppc2002 and BT now runs perfectly fine. I guess I'll have to go to HP and get my money back unless anyone out there has a solution.

Did you install the Bluetooth update that was released December of last year? It is supposed to fix a lot of issues with Bluetooth after the upgrade to wm2003.
