Inbox email send problem

I have a 3870 upgraded to PPC2003 with an expansion pack and Orinoco Gold. Can
access internet fine through my home wireless network and
can download email via POP3 into inbox. But can't send.
Always times out. Have tried two different outgoing
servers that both work with PCs (including a wireless one) on the same network. And I
can ping both servers from my 3870 just fine. I have the outgoing and incoming server set to the same and have the outgoing set for authentication.

Help!

I had a similar problem when trying to send email using the default email client that comes with PPC2003. I got it working after removing the POP account and recreating it, but "Skip" the "Auto-configuration" step. Skipping auto-configuration worked for me. Assuming your email server information is correct, this might work.

Tried your suggestion. It worked. I'm stunned and amazed. Thanks.
