Is this an upgrade CD? Or did you download the file from the Internet? If you downloaded it, it will not work with A03. The file that was available for download is only to update the faulty Axims that already have WM2003 from ROM A04 to A05.

If it is the CD, then it should work.....and if it doesn't, then you should contact Dell support to get the problem straightened out quickly. That is, unless someone here has run into the same problem and can offer helpful advice to you.

You need to contact Dell and buy the upgrade from them.

No unless you legally buy a 2003 CD you cannot upgrade.

Even when you buy the CD, you may have the same problem...

Look here at Dell's forum http://forums.us.dell.com/supportfor...essage.id=5291

After you purchase the upgrade CD, you apparently may need to set your language to English, hard reset the Axim, then do the upgrade. But please read the thread to make sure I am not missing something.

I wanted to make sure you were aware of a possible fix when your upgrae CD does arrive in case it gives you the same error. :)

Read my original post in this thread. The downloaded file updates only the A04 ROM to A05. This is because A04 is the first ROM that is WM2003. If you have a PPC2002 A00, A02, A03 ROM.....you cannot use this downloaded file to upgrade from PPC2002 to WM2003. You have to order a PPC2002 to WM2003 Upgrade CD and wait for it to ship out to you.

That was very quick for an upgrade CD to come through.
