will IE in 2003 permit attaching files?

is it possible to attach a file to an email using internet explorer that comes with 2003?

currently use IE w/2002 to check my yahoo email - i would like to use the "attach file" feature of yahoo email but it seems so far that IE for 2002 does not activate the "add/delete file" link - has anyone else been able to send an attached file by any other web email service with the axim (i receive attachments fine)

also... i don't use the axim synced with a desktop system - all files data etc are on flash cards that are moved back and forth to the desktop for backup or for use with officeXp - i don't use activesync or outlook - i use hotspots in nyc to connect or my home network

regards,
christian

I certainly am no expert, so anybody else who wants to jump in here; go ahead. Internet Explorer is a program for exploring the Internet, not sending mail. A separate program is used to handle mail. On the Dell X5 the program is designated the “inbox”, which I believe is derived from Outlook or Outlook Express (Windows mail program for the PC). I don’t know about attaching files in the ppc version.

I think you mean "Inbox" for email. If so, the answer is yes. In Inbox, in "Edit" is "Add Attachment..." Internet Explorer doesn't support email as far I know, but I could be wrong.

However, in IE "Tools", it does support sending a "Link via email" for the current page.

In short no, it seems that the <.INPUT TYPE=FILE> sub-tag of the <.FORM> tag isn't implemented in the HTML processor in Pocket IE. I'd be interested to know why myself. You are out of luck I'm afraid.

EDIT: [b] Oh my good god!, somebody PLEASE disable HTML in posts, it's positively dangerous!

Indeed it is, PIE in 2003 doesn't allow it either.
