Contacts on SD card?

For my customer relations management programme (ACT!) I run a plugin on my HP4150 that synchronizes all my contacts onto my PDA. The number of contacts run into the thousands and the 64mb internal memory is proving to be insufficient. Now what?

Is it possible to store contacts onto an SD memory card and, if so, how can I accomplish this? Is there some other way of freeing additional memory? I only use the calender and contact options.

Hi Jimmy - welcome to the site

What size is the plugin? (what is it?) the contacts themselves should take anywhere near that room?

BTW I don't know of any way to store the standard (ie Outlook) contacts database on SD card.
Regards

Rob

The installed plug-in is called ACT! Link for Pocket PC. And it transforms the ACT! contacts on my corporate computer into regular contacts on my iPAQ.

There is really no way to move the contacts database to the SD card.

A couple of thoughts would be to create a separate contacts database using some PPC database tools. Or you could contact PPC Techs for a RAM upgrade.

What would a RAM upgrade cost?
Please give me an estimate in Euro's 'cause I cannot find any info about this option. If it will set me back too much, I'd likely opt for the all-new Qtech 9090 to replace my old symbian-powered Nokia 9210.

[QUOTE=whitelyt]There is really no way to move the contacts database to the SD card.

Hi there,
I'm NEW to the forum...so please forgive me if this Q has already been posted.

Is it possible to COPY = Backup the contacts database to the SD ?

Thanks

Sprite back up has a Pim mirroring ability that can be set where to store.

Like storage card, or BIS(Built in Storage)

It runs on most start ups or soft resets, i found it annoying and just use regular back up to my SD card now.

Peace
