Can't remove icons in "Programs"

Hello,

I recently installed Microsoft's PocketPC Expense and then decided that it was not for me. I deleted the program using the remove software utility, but the icon remained in the Programs folder. I reinstalled and the n deinstalled again, and now I have TWO Expense icons !

Can anyone tell me how to rid my Programs folder of these redundant icons???

Many thanks,
Gav24

On your iPaq go to Windows>Start Menu>Programs>

Find the offending icons and delete them from there.

Thanks Rob, I can see the icons under "Programs", but I don't know how to detete them. Tapping and holding does not bring up any options such as "delete"....

Hi Gav24, you will need to use File Explorer and navigate as Rob described, then delete them using File Explorer.

Hmmmmm....... Tried that and navigated to "my device/program files/". There is nothing in there that looks anything like the "Expense" icons that I am looking to delete. Am I looking in the right place?

Hi Gav24. The prgram was actually removed when you uninstalled it so there wont be/shouldn't be anything under the programs directory. Try going to Windows/Start Menu/Programs. You should see the offending icon (.lnk) there.

That is exactly what I tried first, and I do see the icons there. But I don't see a possibility to delete them. Any ideas????

Using file explorer - if you tap n' hold a context menu comes up - with delete on it.
