How to remove already removed program from remove list

I have a program I already have uninstalled from my PocketPC but for some reason it's still listed as being installed and is in my remove programs list. I know most likely most if not all files are removed so maybe this isn't that important. I guess it's just for cosmetic reasons but is there any way I can remove this listing from my remove programs list? Maybe by modifying the registry?

Have you tried to soft reset? Sometimes this clears the problems.

Otherwise, as you have guessed, some bad registry key are still retained when you removed the software, then you will need some 3rd party software, like

MemMaid:
http://www.handango.com/PlatformProd...t%5B3%5D_title

or Space Reclaimer:
http://www.handango.com/PlatformProd...t%5B1%5D_title

to help clear them.

Good luck.

This is similar to the desktop issues in some occasions. I had to edit the registry to remove the reference of those items.

I am having a similar issue with MS Pocket Money I can remove through AS explorer but it shows up still shows up on my remove programs list I figured I'm about due for a clean up ie a hard reset so I would let it slide till then.

I have a program that I can do a registry edit with and it seems that's what I have to do. How do I remove it though? is there a specific place I need to look for in the registry to remove references to this program or remove it from the add/remove list?

I think I'd try memmaid first before editing the registry. You can get memmaid as a free trial and is sure saferer than hacking the registry around.

If you have removed the program from your PPC then you can safely delete any & all references to it in the registry. (Best do a search under the software title & also under the software provider's name.)

IF WE LISTEN TO THE QUESTION...MABY HE ISNT SAYING WHAT HE MEANS...

WHEN YOU SAY PROGRAMS LIST.. DO YOU MEAN THE ICON FOR IT IN PROGRAMS ?
OR DO YOU MEAN IT STILL SHOWS IN THE BOX FOR REMOVING PROGRAMS ?
im not going to answer the first one... but if it still shows in the second one
you have 3 options.. reinstall the prog, and then properly uninstall it... or do a hard reset.. or do the REGEDIT thingy...
