Messaging/Inbox questions

I would love to be able to use the PPC for e-mail...however I don't like the idea of storing messages on it. Is there a way to download the messages and still keep them on the server for my desktop PC mail client?

Example.
Right now, If I use the messaging software, it downloads and removes the messages from my email server, and my Desktop mail client doesn't see them.
I would like to be able to download the mail to the PDA, but keep it on the server, so my PC client will see them as well.

I like to have ALL my e-mail on my PC, but I would like the ability to check it without downloading it...kinda like the webmail option I have right now (I can check, send and receive e-mail without it being taken off the server.)

Any way to do this?

Thanks!

This is something I'd like to know how to do as well.

From what I can see is that your messages will stay on the server as long as you haven't deleted them off your ipaq as yet. If it's in the deleted items folder, they'll still stay on the server, but as soon as you clear out the deleted items folder then they're zapped off the server.

I'd love to be able to keep my messages on the server until I delete them on my main pc.

I know how to do this with outlook as it is just a tick box to leave the message on the server I'm currently checking to see if possible on PDA.

I'm assuming that you've setup pop3 mail accounts on your PDA and are not just sync'in with outlook. how are the mails getting to your PC? Are you connecting through a wireless access point? Connected to Home lan? GPRS based?

Just want to figure out how your connecting to your mail servers?
Cheers

For me, I've set up a full pop3 account on PPC instead of just synching with Outlook (I prefer to use Outlook Express for email, rather than Outlook) and I access it with the wireless. Unfortunately with PPC Messaging there is no tick box option to keep the email on the server as you do with Outlook or OE.

It's strange that Microsoft left that option off.

There might be a way to do this on the mail server. Who is your Mail account with?
