I was told some softeware I intend to purchase and use a lot will run much better on PPC 2003. So I am looking to upgrade. I found an auction on ebay for $40. I then looked on HP and found it was only $29 retail. Problem is it ships in 2-3 weeks.

A 3 week delay is outrageous, in the days of instant gratification. I would think HP would have the ability to download such software, or at least the shipping department would be able to beat a 3 week lag time. Is there anyway to get an update quicker than that?

Not that I know of. HP only allows you to download bug fixes for PPC from their website. If you want the upgrade to Windows Mobile 2003 you have to order the CD. I think it has to do with the fact that the upgrade includes Outlook XP as well as the OS and Active Sync.

I did another search and found HPshopping.com. It was able to send it out the same day. Coming from Memphis to here I should be up and running in a few days.
