Ok follow up for future reference.

It turns out that IO Gear whose BT CF card I was using does not come with software that automatically shuts down the Irda port when the BT radio is turned on. The Socket SDIO BT Radio does, so I no longer have this issue I am not thoroughly convinced about BT the only real uses I have for at this time are
1. Wireless headset to my Motorola V710 cell phone.
2. An in the field internet connection to the internet(they don't exactly put Wifi hot spots on construction sites)
3. Future possible GPS(not in the budget at this time)

I m having difficulty with maintaining my pairings with the cell phone but I believe this is more to do with te phone,
I am also having difficulty with setting up a network over my Desktop but I think that is going to be answered in Wifi.
