Resetting delay

Does anyone have a problem when resetting that it shows a black screen after the dell screen and then delays like 5-10secs?

i thought w/ this new wm2003, resets were supposed to be quicker. also, i thought it was cuz of one of the drivers i installed, but even after a hard reset, the delay's still there.

any help would be apprec.

using the a05 ver

it could be a bug that was discovered in the OS. For every reset, some useless database entries are made which eventually leads to slowdowns and problems using activesynch. Try this hotfix: http://www.xscale.de/modules.php?nam...rticle&sid=372
Microsoft has already released a patch to hardware manufacturers but that patch has not been integrated into any device ROMs yet.

I think I've seen an English page somewhere but unfortunately I don't recall the link. Should I came across it again I'll post the link here. Sorry..

Perhaps some info can be obtained from the HP2215 thread about this over at http://discussion.brighthand.com/sho...threadid=84976

Also, I think the newest version of SBPocketPlus has an option to take care of the duplicate DB_Notify_Events as well. I just checked mine and yep, it has a "2003 Startup Fix" checkbox. The descriptions says it removes dulicated records from notification database appearing at every soft reset on PPC2003 devices.

soft reset fix

i used the fix. it doesn't do anything to my startup time. it does drastically shrink my db events (108records to 8).

I'm having the same results after the fixes.
The list is shorter but my reset lag time is getting longer.
Does anyone have any clues here???
Thanks... Ron...
