how can I unhide the file name extension in file explorer?

I'd like to edit some .ram and .asx files
but I am unable to change the extension because it's hidden
then how can I use regedit to unhide?

How about Total Commander, then? I really don't think it's possible with the file explorer that comes with Windows Mobile.

Good for you. But I don't think that changes the inability to see the file extensions in the default explorer.

I like total Commander... But lots of people like GSfinder.

Anyway they're both free so you have nothing to lose by trying them out
This week I have been mostly listening to..... Short cummings audio

Hi mingkee,,,,,,how inconvenient is it to double tap? That other one you didn't want mentioned can be set to open on a single tap. Have you checked the options in Total Commander to see if you can do the same?

As you suspect, About/Settings; check box "Single click start." On my PPC the file needs to be selected before the single tap works (in other words, it still requires two taps - one to select and one to open).

Pocket Plus has a plugin for the file explorer built into windows to show properties of a file including its file extensions and it can be edited there.
My "My PDA" now updated with hints and tips including a ROM fix for the RX3700 series and installing Transport Tycoon onto your PDA.

I don't have a specific perference on either
Total Commander can toggle to and fro 2 different pages, this is pretty handy when I browse CF and SD card on my HX2415
however, GSfinder+ can let me change file association
I like both, but I assign a button for Total Commander, because virtual 2 page toggle is pretty pratical
