Change default font Pocket Word
Can anyone please tell me how to change the default font in Pocket Word. I keep hundreds of guitar songs on my pocket pc (rz1715). I have these files saved as text files since they are so much smaller then Pocket Word files. In order for them to display properly I need to use a monospaced font. Everytime I open up one of these txt files it gets displayed using the Tahoma font (this is apparently the default). Can I change my default settings so a monospaced font is always used on a text file?
Thanks for any advice. Mike

Should be an easy fix I think. First you have to add the font you want to your PPC. Look to the left in my "MY PDA" for instructions if you want but basically just copy font from your PC's windows font folder to your PPC windows font folder. Then in Pocket Word there is an icon in the bottom tray with two arrows. One points up, one down. Tap it to expand another bar which will show the FF symbol. Tap it and you will see the font selection drop down. I think they need to be TTF's. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply. While you gave me some good advice, it is not exactly what I am looking for. I am looking for a way to change the default settings in Pocket Word so when I upen up a plain text file it will open up using a monospaced font such as Courier. With the settings the way they are it opens up the text document using Tahoma (a non monospaced font) I then have to 1. select all of the text, 2. click on the FF button, 3. change the font and size, then 4. click on ok.
This is more clicking then I would like to do. I would like all of my text files to automatically open with a font other then Tahoma. How can I set another font to be my default?

Ahhhh! I get it now but I haven't figured out a solution. I thought Tweak2k2 might be the answer as you can change the system font but I've tried with no success. It may be something that can be done with a registry entry. Hopefully someone out there can answer!

Actually, I just bought and installed Tweek2k2. I did get it to change the default font for the whole system - which did change the font for Pocket Word. It wasn't exactly how I was trying to do it but Pocket Word now opens up text documents in the monospaced font that I specified. Of course practically everything else on my pda is in that font too but I can live with that. Thanks for your help!

Have you tried saving as a template? Or transferring a template to your PPC from your PC? Check the Active Sync options for transferring Word templates. I think you could transfer a word template and have it use your font all the time.
