The ultimate irony, a Palm running WM5

http://www.engadget.com/entry/1234000840053340/

The links shows a number of video's of a Treo 670 running Windows Mobile 5......

I guess they finally caved in, I expected them to at least try a linux running device.

Very interesting but also perplexing. It is sort of like Apple releasing computers with Windows operating system. Palm already outsources the manufacture of the Treo to HTC. I don't see how Palm gains any competetive advantage if it also goes outside for the OS. The form factor is great but at this point other companies could copy it. Truly I would expect Palm to offer their own OS that has many of the feature of WM. I would bet against this device becoming reality.

My "My PDA" now updated with hints and tips including a ROM fix for the RX3700 series and installing Transport Tycoon onto your PDA.

It's like comparing apples and oranges with the above statement.

@RICOUK; a 3715 has not enough memory to house WM5, minimum is 128 Mb ROM

p.s. and it is indeed not very relevant to this topic
