Can any one tell me what the difference between operating systems 2002, 2003 and 2003 prem?
I have the Premium with Outlook and I am having trouble with wifi, there seems to be nothing installed in my machine to support wifi.

This link will show you the differences between 2002 & 2003 (well, actually, it will give you 2 links - one to 2002 & the other to 2003, you'll have to put them side by side to see the differences).

Hope that helps

Premium 2003 and 2003 are the same. They said premium to justify the extra cost for upgrading..

I was under the impression Prem was an alternate way of saying 2003SE. I've got a Prem sticker on the back of my 2755. I remember when I took it out of the box I said, "What's this, where's my SE?" But when I went to Settings -- System -- About, it said the OS was 2003SE.

Professional and Premium Editions

Windows Mobile 2003 for Pocket PC is available in two configurations: Professional Edition and Premium Edition. Both editions contain Pocket Word, Pocket Excel, MSN Messenger, Pocket Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player 9 Series for Pocket PC, and Pocket MSN. The Premium Edition also includes Microsoft Reader, Terminal Services Client, and Pictures, a new image viewer and editor. The Premium Edition can typically be found on devices with 32MB or more of read-only memory (ROM), while Professional Edition is often found on devices with only 16MB of ROM.

It gets even more confusing, C-Kid. First of all, notice the source you found is talking about WM2003, and not saying anything about 2003SE. So, should we apply it to 2003SE, too? Dunno.

Then, to make matters worse, my 4355, which has straight WM2003 (and nothing Premium) has the extras supposedly only available with Premium, notably the "new image viewer and editor," Pictures. But my 2755, which says Premium (and is 2003SE), doesn't have that or MicroSoft Reader. Go figure.

the only major difference is how much the OS takes up space in memory, that's pretty much it.

Just to add a bit more confusion, my first RX3715 device had a sticker for Windows 2003SE but when HP sent me a replacement as the old one crapped up the sticker says Windows 2003Pro.
So, there are 2003, 2003SE, 2003Prem and now 2003Pro.

(p.s. when looking through the asset viewer I found a difference in the two devices, the flash block size on the old device is 16Kb and on the new device is 128Kb but everything else is the same.)
My "My PDA" now updated with hints and tips including a ROM fix for the RX3700 series and installing Transport Tycoon onto your PDA.
