Outlook 2003 Calendar sync with Pocket 2003

I hope someone can shed some light on the following problem I now have since I have upgraded Office from XP to 2003. I have the latest version of ActiveSync 3.8.0 and regardless of what settings I choose for the calendar, it will not sync any appointments that existed before the Office upgrade. this has caused me to double book and even miss important appointments as I am reliant on my iPAQ for helping me stay organised.

Initially it told me that I had conflicts with appointments and yet the icons that used to alert me to that in Outlook Calender are no longer visible.

Thank you

The easiest way to fix this would be to uninstall Activsync & then re-install it. this will force your PC to make a new connection & start the sync process from scratch.

Let us know how you get on, as there are other things to try if this doesn't work.

Did the Office upgrade create a new.pst file? Do a search for the pst files on your PC. It may be that the old appts are in a separate file and AS won't sync with more than one folder.

That was one of the other things to try...

Outlook isnt supposed to delete old PST files when your upgrading (mine didnt when I upgraded to Outlook 2002 from 2000) but that doenst mean its always the case.

Thanks for your response - have looked for a pst file and none to be found.

have uninstalled active sync 3.8 and it is now partly syncronising and - calendar items are still not all moving across. I think i will try active sync 3.7 didn't ever have any problem with either syncs versions till upgrade of Office software. don't have the option of reverting to Office XP - company policy!!!

There is an option in Active Sync that you can chose to make everything from your PPC transfer to your desktop or the other way. Once you get a good copy on both than select the option to let you select a chose about conflicts...
