Just received notice my upgrade scheduled to ship on August 22 has been delayed until October 1, 2003 at the earliest and unless I call them or e-mail them to say I still want order , order will be canceled. Good grief waht a mess. That HP is looking better and better to me

My order status still says August 22 also. Apparently order status site is not kept up to date. Be expecting a e-mail from Dell very shortly.........................:-(

I just got the same email. Automatically cancelled on 8-22-03.

I'm going back to Palm. ;)

I plan to not buy anything dell. No service, no support, no understand English.

I agree but what do we do with our Axims ?????I can not afford to trash it but I really am fed up with Dell. I could live with the delay, after all, my Axim is working pretty well as is. But these delays from Dell with NO EXPLAINATION is just to much, come on Dell at least tell us whats going on ??????? Oh and the auto cancel of order ???? What if I had been out of town for a week ? Oops , order gets canceled and I guess I'd get moved tp the back of the line.

I just called to hold my order. I asked the tech, why it was being delayed again and he said "well, I think there's a glitch" When I asked him why some of my friends have recieved new Axims this week with the the new OS he told me I was mistaken and that they would never ship anything till the glitch was fixed. Oh, yeah, ummm huh? Considering I held and used the unit, I was being lied to yet again. No more dell's...... Ever!

Sit on it and spin!!! not only will I never buy another "product with no service" of yours but I will procced to install a WM2003 version on my Ax and you can just keep spinning. In the mean time dont forget to spin while you fix your "made by a horrible case of ADD" order system. After all this I will need a new middle finger".

How is that for expressing my feelings thinking Dell would ever take the time to read this? They dont read support@dell.com emails nor the website form, much less this, but it is still good to vent and rant... CAUSE I AM FED UP!

First, I'm frustrated, too. I would like the upgrade for the keyboard enhancements, the possibility of getting my Smart Pad to work, and a host of other reasons.

Second, there is absolutely no excuse for Dell not to be totally honest with it's customers. We support the company and they owe us an honest explanation.

But folks, get a grip. It's a frickin upgrade. Your Ax still works, doesn't it?

Yes it does, but I am one of those people that could have been a real jerk and returned the Axim when I had my grace period and get a 2003 version.

Come today, I was stupid enough not to do it thinking I would get the upgrade later on. So I ended up being taken for a fool by a company that promised and never delivered. What is worst never even responded to customer questions or concerns. A company like that, to me, deserves nothing, much less repeat customers and I sure wont be one.

I am the one who decides what parts/systems are bought on our company and for all I care Dell will never see another cent from us.

I dont care what they or anyone says, I will be upgrading to 2003 with CD or without. I tried to play it the good guy way and companies like this make me feel like a puppet... screw 'em.

At first your reply hit me the wrong way also. Then I saw you did not mean it in a vicious way (or at least that was the other side I saw in the post). So, after I saw the other way of viewing the reply, I thought that wa a pretty good way of handling it. :D

I don't see anything wrong with your reply.

At this point, I don't even beleive the upgrade exists. The upgrade is all in our heads. There never will be an upgrade.:rolling:
