Hi all,

Me and my collegues all have IPaqs 6515.
Everything is working fine, including internet connection via GPRS.
What none of us is getting to work however is a VPN connection to our office LAN, and we are all certified system administrators !!!

The VPN is working fine from a XP laptop, and we have entered all the same settings in the VPN configuration on out iPaqs ... but when we try to connect it always says to check username and password.

Tried PPTP and IPSec, tried all settings (at least that we know of) .. nothing seems to help.

Anybody got any suggestion?

Hello there, I'm having exactly the same trouble.

What VPN Server are you using?

We have a 3COM OfficeConnect VPN Firewall box. An XP machine can can ipsec/l2tp into it just fine. Can I get any iPaq to cope? No.

I've just been on to the HP folks, and they confirm it won't work. They could not tell me a server it would work with UNLESS I was willing to spend a LOT of money on new VPN client software for the iPaqs. (More than £50 a pop at first glance) Even then the list of servers is not very long. (check out anthavpn and other associated products)

Does anybody out there know of a hardware box that the standard HP Client will work with?
