In your Windows OS, you will see an Avantgo in the add/remove.

I am an newbie too so what do you mean by AS? I dont' see anything in my Axim for Avantgo but I do in my Windows XP. Does that help?

I gave up. I tried uninstalling avantgo, reinstalling avantgo, hard resetting the axim, installing an older avantgo, reinstalling activesync.

I don't think I can use both my Palm Cell phone (I330) and the Axim on my work computer to get avantgo. I'd rather have it on my phone...

Does anyone else have both palm and axim working with avantgo?

I know it was very frustrating for me too. I did do several combinations of add/remove and hardresets as well... but one thing I left out was that I removed the profiles from my Active Sync and add removed everything... i.e. I removed all files and folders associated with my Axim.

I think that was the key. I had no traceable link from my computer to the axim and then reinstalled all the crap over again. For some reason it worked the second time.

What OS do you use on your PC? And is it AS 3.7?

AS 3.7 Windows 2000

It just doesn't want to work for me Also, mine doesnt' say Avantgo in the AS window...it says Avantgo CONNECT. Not sure if that matters.

Also, when I unistalled avantgo, and reinstalled activesync, there was no option for avantgo anymore. It was gone.

Avantgo connect is correct.
The AS does not have a Avantgo thingy majhig

You have to go into the ActiveSync and click in the TOOLS--> OPTIONS-->Avantgo check box.

In both the AS settings and in options, it says Avantgo Connect.

I'm going to try one more time...here goes killing everything. One more question, and thanks for your help! By doing a backup and restore, does that effect everything? I hate having to install everything after the hard reset.

I did not have to back up anything because this was a brand new Axim but I would suspect that it would not be an issue to back it up.

Well, I backed it up, but didn't restore. IT WORKS NOW! I didn't want to risk restoring it. I jut went through installing all programs.

We'll see if the palm still works....SUCCESS! Both have synced!

I had the same problem as everyone else here. I setup my AvantGo account, downloaded all the content and when I tried to view it on the PDA, it did not give me anything. It kept telling me how to activate which wasn't helping.

I then removed the PDA from the cradle, removed my ID and password from the Control Panel-AvantGO Connect-Properties, User Name. I resyncd the PDA and seen that it downloaded all the new DLL and other files necessary. Did a Soft-Boot of the PDA, now I see the connect AvanGO Icon on the PDA, where before it did not exist. I put my user name and password back and now it works.
