cant use find, it exits itself!

oh dear.

i go to search for something, and after typing in any word thats over 2 letters, bang! the find program quits itself.

it doesnt quit when i search for things with only numbers..... and if i do like, finding things that are only 64k, its ok.. finds stuff, but upon changing back to finding all things, find quits itself.

its REALLY ANNOYING!!

not a virus is it? can someone send me their pocket windows 2003 search program? (not sure of the exe's name.. but im sure its only the exe that is needed)

and i dont think this is illegal, i own WM 2K3, and therefore i own the find as well!!!

If it's a system program, you won't be able to replace it. They're protected and reloaded from the ROM. And, I would guess it's not a virus.

Have you tried a soft reset?

Yeah, Ive Soft Resetted loads.. hasn't fixed it at all.

I really dont want a Hard Reset! -I guess, I should just do a backup of everything, hard reset.. and then restore the stuff. -but wouldn't that restore the broken find program?

but then again, those are protected so it surely wouldnt be overwritten...

argh
