Downgrade to PocketPC 2002?

Our school network won't support a VPN connection from PocketPC 2003 and they have no eta on when they will support it - it was recommended to me that I downgrade to 2002.

How would you go about doing this, and where would one happen to find 2002??

I'm guessing that you recieved a brand new one w/ppc2003 installed allready. I don't think that you can w/o purchasing it. I'd take a look at the dell website, they would be who you need to talk to.

I'm not sure on this one, but, you might be able to just download ROM a03 and install that.

i think u can just insatl an older version of the rom updates, like ao3 or ao2, im not really sure if that will work, but it was recomended to me over the same question

I think the Ax will read the ROM as a lower number and stop you from installing it.

What if you did a restore? I don't think that the ax would stop you then.

I am not sure. I have heard that is reads the ROM number, but there should be a way around it... I would be surprised if it was not possible... especially with the smarts in this group. ;)

As for now, it is not legally possible to do. If you really know what you are doing, you could probably get it to work, but you could also get your Axim to never work again.

Very true. There is not downgrade license to PPC 2002. Thread closed.
