Running out of memory

I have just gotten my H5450 back from repair and I am doing a fresh install. I am running PPC2003.

I am all ready running out of memory and I have only installed Pocket Plus, Pocket Informant, and WingX an aviation program. WingX has a method of transfering the Data bases to the storage card which I have already done. Yet I am getting memory errors already. How do I go about moving things and creating more space for apps and files?

Thanks

number one... stay away from pocket plus... its super resource intensive and a memory hog. id suggest sbsh pocket breeze instead.

install everything to external memory (sd card/cf card etc), if possible.

remove files that are not necessary from the filestore such as html help files, programs youll never use that arnt in rom, etc.

if you have anything else on the device, try to move it to the sd card. music, pictures, tsks etc.

if .net cf2 is installed, uninstall it and reinstall it to the sd card as well.

use something like sktools to change the temp directories to the sd card, and clean out all the temp directories.

thats just a quickie reply...

use the search feature of the website to find more tips and info

I have found out my source of the problem. I was downloading a chart database for WINGX, which is very large and crashed before the download was complete so it was not transfered to my storage card. It freed up 20+mb when trashed.

I still would appreciate any advice on keeping my install clean if anyone has any.
Thanks

I compared pocket breeze to pocket plus before buying and like plus because it also has a program launcher where breeze just seems to put my PIM info on my main screen. I can open Pocket Informant when i want to see that info.
