major WIFI problems please help if you can

I've had a memory crash in the last few days and have had to hard reset (axim X50v), I've also done the a05 rom update. I am desperately in need of my axim for work and I can't get it to access WIFI networks, at home it finds my network (i'm on linksys) and i have tapped in my wep key but when I go to IE it says check my isp settings but when I go to settings it asks for the dial up settings which work over my 3G phone but that's no good for WIFI coz now everytime I try to access internet over wifi it tries to dial out my vodafone *99#. I seem to remember before the crash that evertime I came across a WEP network all I did was type in the key and I was away, wether it was McD's or Starbucks or private what am I missing here coz I'm gonna be screwd if i don't get it fixed soon.

This might not work in this instance - but try removing the battery for about 10 seconds to reset the wireless hardware.

Also have you done a hrad reset since the ROM update ?

when your device is tryng to connect to wifi, it remembers the last wifi it was connected to,if it was BT then that is what it defaults to, try enabling the Wlan/wifi before you try to connect
