I am trying to get my axim x30 to wake, dial bluetooth phone, download emails, disconnect and then turn itself off. I have searched here but haven't found a definitive answer.

I know that "messaging" has the option to "automatically connect and check for new messages" but it doesn't work when the axim is off. It doesn't wake or do anything and then the next time i turn it on THEN it says it failed....maybe BT isn't coming on? Leaving it on is not a good solution for battery power.

Does anyone know a solution or a mail client I can use to achieve this?

Try Mortscript and Flexmail 2006. I'm learning mortscript to automate turning the bluetooth DUN phone and open Opera when it's done. There's a command to turn on the PDA at a set time, connect to the internet, run an application (like Flexmail), start a process (like checking for new mail) and turn off PDA.

Download the Mortscript manual and read the capablities. Try the Mortscript forum and see some sample scripts to use on your own script. I'm learning right now but haven't quite gotten everything to automate except for the BT DUN activation. If I get that to work, I'll message you. It'll be useful for me too. In the meantime, hope this helps to point you in the right direction.
