Hmm corrupt emial

I use activesync at work for grabbing my emails. Apparently I picked up an email the wm2003se does not like. I tried deleting all my emails on my PPC, and moving my emails from my PC’s Inbox, but active sync still gets stuck when syncing emails.

This has happened to me before. Usually I hard reset and start installing – but I am getting sick of that.

How do I clean out / fix the corrupt database on my PPC????

Try unchecking your email from being synced. Do a sync then add email sync back. (I hope that made sense.)

Tried that - it will only sync the email to a certain point and then stop.

Other suggestions - anyone???

If the trouble is actually your E-mail in the Inbox (or personal folders), you will want to run the "Mailbox Repair" tool under the Tools Menu (Outlook 98 and prior), or the "Detect & Repair" option under the Help menu (Outlook 2000 forward).

In most cases that I've seen, the trouble is actually with the ActiveSync database on the PDA. The PDA losses synchronization (no pun intended) with Outlook's database. The only way this can be effectively resolved is to uninstall ActiveSync from the PDA and the Host computer, delete the ActiveSync directories on both devices, reboot (warm start) both devices, then re-install ActiveSync on the Desktop.

It will automatically be added to the PDA after that...

I've also seen this sort of thing occur because of a corrupt Contact or Calendar entry.
Maybe think back / check whether you added a contact or calendar entry just before the sync issues started. If so, delete that entry and try sync again. If it succeeds, it is a quick solution and it's easy enough to add back the contact / calendar entry ...

I too have an e-mail I can't get rid of. I'm not even using any synch however. This came from synching with RoadRunner over WiFi. Any tips for me on this one? Deleted it from the RR site through webmail so I kno wit's not there. Deleted all e-mail in that account. Did a reset. Deleted all the temp files and the attachment folders too. Damn thing won't die. Oddly, there is no body in the message either. Just the headers.

Listening to all suggestions. Don't want to Nuke it again this year if I don't have to.
