Hi all,

I recently upgraded to Vista and my Axim X5 w/PPC02 no longer works. I upgraded to PPC03 without putting much thought into it and now I cannot get any of my data back. I have the default.dbk file from PPC02 but I have been Googling all night and cannot find anything that will read it. I don't have the PPC02 OS so going back is not doable (plus the fact that Vista won't work with it).

Do you know of anything that can help me retrieve my default.dbk info short of buying a new PDA or new PC?

The Dell backup made with PPC02 is not compatible with any of the more recent OSes so buying a new PPC (or PC) is not going to make any difference. I'm not absolutely sure, but I think the same thing is true for the AS backup.

Some third party backup programs (like Sprite Backup) apparently could restore to a more recent version but many programs will not work with such a restored setup and it's too late for you to create the backup now, anyway.
