Dell Axim X30 lost win mobile 3003 SE cd

My PDA needs a reload, Wifi is no longer working. I just moved and my CD must have been misplaced. Anyone know how I can get another copy of the disk? Dell website is no help.:(

It should...a hard reset brings the device back to factory state. Just hold down the power button while doing a soft reset.

Hard Reset is all you should need. Unlike a PC, PDAs can be reset to factory load via a hard reset instead of having to reload from CDs.

Sorry I just got with the pda crowd. Bought an Axim X30 from ebay. So you are saying I only need to do a hard reset to clean the pda then? No cd's are required? Thanks for the help. I will be posting more now that I have my pda.

Yes, doing a hard reset will put the device back to factory settings. It will clear all of the data in your RAM (programs/OS/anything else on there) and reload WM2003SE from ROM. Hard resetting also does not touch anything else you may have stored in your ROM (aka Built-In Storage) or SD Card.

The companion CD that came with the x30 was for installing Outlook 2002 and Activesync on your desktop (along with other random programs for your x30). As you can purchase Outlook separately from the x30 and can download Activesync for free, I wouldn't worry too much about not having the CD. I lost mine three years ago and am doing fine still. :o

Oh yeah, if you are gonna sync up your x30 with any other device, don't forget to install the Daylight Savings Fix on it for this year.
