Is it possible to lose WM 2003
I haven't used my Axim in awhile, and I just hooked it up to download the latest version of OneNote. OneNote couldn't find WM 2003, and when I went to System Information, it isn't listed. What could have happened, and can I fix it?

ARGH!!

Where did you get this version of OneNote? I thought OneNote would only work on WM5.0 devices......

I just bought Office 2007 which included the latest version of OneNotes, and it had a download for mobile devices included. Now, I don't know that it actually works with WM 2003, but when I tried to download it to my Axim, I got a message that said my device had to be running at least WM 2003, so I assumed it would work.

If I could find out how to get WM 2003 back on my Axim, I'd let you know if it works or not!

The operating system (wm) is installed to the rom of the device. So it cant be erased just like a desktop's can be. The only thing that can happen is it will hard reset back to factory settings.

Also, what axim do you have. That would help too.

I have an X50, and everything seems to be running fine on it. Should WM 2003 be showing up on the system information screen somewhere?

If your pocket pc is running fine, then the OS is installed and running well too.

If your pocket pc is running WM2003, One Note Mobile will not be installed or run on the pocket pc.

One Note Mobile only works on WM5.0 pocket pcs. I had read this months ago, and just spent a few minutes searching through the web for confirmation of this. I also tried to install One Note Mobile on my WM2003SE IPAQ and it would not install (I do have it installed on my WM5.0 hw6925).

When searching the internet just now, I came across a OneNote Mobile Patcher that allows you to install and run the application on Windows Mobile 2003/2003SE devices. I haven't tried it out myself, but you might want to give it a go.
