I know its early but I wonder if it will be shown the majority still uses 2003. Could it be most people are still using the older machines such as X5?
Just a thought.
Could the X5 take the OS above 2003?

I'm still using 2003SE on my Ax but I also have devices running the original Pocket PC OS (Cassiopeia E-125), WM2005 (Treo 700w), and WM6 (HTC Advantage, Imate JASJAR). I'm not sure if my My PPC2002 (iPAQ 3975), and PPC2003 (iPAQ 2215) are still working but I plan on sending the iPAQ's to PocketPCTechs later next year to be repaired. Those iPAQs had the best remote control software I'd ever used, NEVO Universal Remote Control.

I passed my X50v on to my wife. It still has 2003SE on it. I have a copy of WM5 in my desk that I bought from Dell (still in its cellophane) that I decided not to install due to the bad reviews it got on the X50. (I probably ought to see if someone wants to buy it.)
I'm still running 2kSE on my x50v. I'll probably run ity until the device dies, or I have some other compelling reason to upgrade my hardware (winning the lottery for example )

WM 5 is not really suitable for the X50 series. They do not have enough ROM. X51s have twice as much.
Several people have tried WM5 on their X50s and subsequently downgraded back to WM 2000 SE. I have stayed with WM 2003 SE which works very well and does all that I need. I see no need to upgrade.
