Automated Restore

Hi,

I have the problem of people forgetting to change the batteries of their PPCs.
I would like the PPCs to start the install of backup everytime they have a so called "Cold Start".

The PPCs are running with Windows Mobile 2003.

I was able to add a command into the autoexec.dat, found under "My Device -> Flash File Store -> 2577. (I also saved the backup there.)

Everything works fine when i do a "Cold Start".

Now here comes my problem:

The backup also trys to install itself when I perform a "Warm Start".
Can anyone help me to fix that? Thx in advance.

It has been awhile since I've delt with the autoexec files of a PC and never in my PDA. However, you should be able to add a command to run a batch file. Then, create a batch file that asks the user if they want to run the backup. If yes, the backup installs. If no, it goes back to the normal startup routine.

BTW - Welcome to Aximsite. :approve:
