Pocket Word the Files List

Pocket Word modifying the files list
I've searched Aximsite and didn't get a match on this item.

When I start Pocket Word I get 40 or so files, support files etc. Is there any way to just get one directory or one category to show up and keep it there so when you start word again the list is the same?

I can open the file I want from Resco Explorer, but when I close it the list come up again and it takes quite awhile to wait for the spinning microsoft circle to list them all then you can close word.

I did notice in WM5 on my X51v this does work, under options select word files only and CF card/My Documents, then when you close and reopen Word the association sticks so the list stays the same, but I use WM2003SE a lot more and this option does not work in WM2003SE.

Thanks,
Hope I explained this well enough,
Jim

Locutus,

At the upper left of the Pocket Word pane (Just below the caption and Start Button) there is a pull-down that lets you set the directory location. Tap there, choose the directory you want to view (the default is All Folders) and that's the way it will start up from now on. I've found that to be true both in WM2003 and WM5.

Now thats interesting, I've tried this before and it always reverted back to "All Folders", but on my wife's X50v which is identical to mine, it works like you say, somehow they are different. I will look at what version WM2003 they are running, Brenda's was purchased after mine (They are both the same A05 (07270500). The X51v works like its supposed to also.

Will keep trying, Thanks

Interesting, when you say your wifes x50v is the same as yours, was all of the installed software installed in the same order? My x51 and x51v are different even though I've been through a long process to standardise them, same installation procedure and setup, programs etc. x51 is faster!! Small variances in the software environment can really affect things!

I'll be interested to see if there's a conclusion or ideas here!:approve:

If you open Pocket word and then click on the tools then options button at the bottom of the screen, you should see:
1. Default Template
2. Save To
3. Display in List View
a. Pocket Word Only
b. Pocket Word and Text
c. Known Types

You probably are set to "known types"
Change to PWO, and this should clean up your list view.

Not sure if this will help, but its a must have for any ppc.

This software creates a save file dialog and a open file dialog similar to windows pcs where u can go to any directory and not just mydocs.
