URL Desktop Shortcuts

Dell Axim X30 WM 2003

Can I put URL shortcuts on the initial 'Start' screen?

The Scenario:

We don't have an adequate signal to run a digital radio in our kitchen

We want to access BBC 'Listen Again' facilities.

*** The set up needs to be 'fool proof' for my wife to be bothered to use it.

The device is in its cradle and plugged into a pair of PC speakers on the counter top.

I would like to simply startup the PDA and then have a shortcut to the BBC sites on the 'desktop'

Or would these operations be more simply managed another way?

Any suggestions on a quick, easy setup would be gratefully recieved.

Cheers, Sean

Welcome to the site!

You can try launcher utilities such as HandyLauncher & iLauncher:

HandyLauncher - DinarSoft
SBSH Mobile Software - Making smaller bigger

These allow you to add shortcuts on your Today screen.

cLaunch is what I use. Lots of options for the person setting it up. Like the ability to make a nice big (say 70x70) icon. Plus all sorts of other features for the power users like the ability to have multiple tabs and to be able to make shortcuts to documents.
