Airborne snatchs back my wm2k3 fix

Today Airborne delivered a package to me at my company from the "Fullfillment Center" in Austin Texas. I'm certain it was my WM 2003 fix for my new Axim.
Before I could get to the Mail Room to pick up the packgage, the Airborne driver returned to our Company and said that he got a call to retrieve all of the packages he already delivered, and not to deliver anymore today. He said that he had a whole bunch on his truck too. So he got mine before I could get it.
Dell must have found something else wrong with the software I guess...I don't know what the hell is going on, but I sure am getting sick of this whole fiasco. :bang:

Mine came today, but there was no cd in the package... Dell's getting smarter by the minute! :crooked: :rolling:

Did Airborne take back ALL packages delivered to your office or just that single package?

Perhaps this one doesn't have anything to do with Dell.

For what it's worth, I received my CD last Thursday.

It would seem that the lesson to be learned from this is that you should quickly snatch up your update CDs when they are delivered and then hide them far away from the delivery man being prepared to deny knowledge of its existance, in case Dell should change it's mind.

Maybe Dell had a bad batch go out, there was one guy on these boards who reported getting a German CD, maybe a whole batch of international CDs accidentally got sent out to US customers.

Or maybe Dell is conducting a psychological experiment of sorts, trying to figure out how far tech support can push someone before they crack.

Either way, dmascot, you've gotta be faster next time ;) The Dell update CD is apparently an elusive prey.

Airborne left it at my door today in the morning, and after comparing it with the [previously]downloadable patch (by check sums), it is exactly the same thing. So I won't flash it in.

I got one today and I don't think I'm supposed to have it! I ordered my Axim 400 mHz on 7/16 and received it 8/1--it already had WM2003 with the A05 ROM. Works great!

Cool

Today Airborne delivered another package, this time they didn't take it back. It is the update....finally.
Now I hope it works. ;)

Hi,

No it was just the Rom update package that was taken back.

Maybe they accidently sent out a bunch of empty envelopes like spectre3ooo got?

Today the driver brought another package (with the CD in it), and this one was sent next day air, which restored a little of my confidence in Dell.

The update installed in about 20 minutes without a hitch.

Worried

dmascot,

How is your Ax responding? Does it seem faster? What about the 02 progams, are they working?

:crooked:
