Missing Contacts folder - can I rebuiid from my Axim?
Hi all

Windows XP Professional - Office 2003 - Outlook

Axim X50V - Mobile 2003

I lost my contacts folder from Outlook on my PC (dont ask how). I have my full Contacts folder remaining on my Axim.

I have not Active Sync'd since the problem for fear of losing my remaining Contact info.

What can I do and what settings in Active Sync can I use, to move my Contact info back onto my PC? I dont think it qualifies as a conflcit in rules, since I have made no changes to my Axim contacts folder.

Thank you for any help you can offer......

Bob

Delete your existing ActiveSync partnership.
Create a new partnership.
When you sync for the first time under the new partnership, ActiveSync should recognize that you have data on your pocket pc that is not on your computer and ask you how you wish to proceed. You'll have three options: 1) replace the data on the Pocket PC with data from the computer; 2) combine the data on both devices; 3) do nothing. You'll choose the combine option.

Be sure you backup your pocket pc before doing this. Then if something goes wrong, you can restore from your backup file.
