Good question. I've loaded mine up quite a bit and its still flying. Maybe the hack didn't install the OS as well? I don't know. His CD came today so he is going to try and us it. I wonder if it will work since he already has A05 on it...

I would say at this point, I have much more on my Axim than he does.

Who knows. I'm running Pocket Informant and all these other apps while he just really has games on his. It must just be a bad install on his end.

I would assume he would have to downgrade. Wouldn't the setup just detect A05?

yea let me know if downgrade is needed. I got my cd but I already had a05 on my axim. I dont know what it would improve tho, mine is pretty fast. but since you're reporting results with 250 faster than 255 it seems wierd

Who knows what it is. I wouldn't go messing with anything if you are happy...

I got my upgrade today and installed it right then. It seems to have improved the way everything works. It looks like things work better and faster so far. :)

Just for the record - if the checksums on the two files are identical - the files are identical (well - ok - for the purists out there - it IS possible they're different and have the same checksum - but amazingly unlikely - and if they're mostly the same - it's essentially impossible).

So, if you take his upgrade CD and so a checksum on his image files, and do the same with yours - and they match - they're the same files which means it's not the upgrade which is the difference...
