Outlook 2000 and Microsoft Mobile 2003

I have done a search in the forums and could not find this combination of terms (subject) so I apologize if I am asking something that has already been beaten to death. However, here it goes:

1 - Does Outlook 2000 work with Microsoft Mobile 2003 or do you have to use Outlook 2002? I sync with an outlook server at work and they require outlook 2000 on our client machines.

2 - The Outlook 2002 that comes on the upgrade disk is that a full blown version or an Outlook Express type version?

3 - Is there somewhere on this site step-by-step instructions for upgrading your Axim pocket pc 2000 to Microsoft Mobile 2003 (I just got my upgrade disk on Friday).

Again, sorry for any repeat questions just point me in the right direction and I will go off and read quietly!

WM 2003 does not require Outlook 2002--Outlook 2000 should work just fine. You do need ActiveSync 3.7, however, so install that first on the machine you are going to use for syncing. Outlook 2002 that comes on the disk is not Outlook Express. There are directions for upgrading on the disk. Just make sure you back up your data to your computer or to a memory card in your Ax. Remove the card before the upgrade.

Thanks for the reply. I already have ActiveSync 3.7 build 3083 on my machine from an earlier release. Will this work or do I need to install what is probably a newer build that is on the disk?

I would guess what you already have installed for ActiveSync 3.7 would work just fine. I already had it on my computer, so did not install it again.
